About us
An independent way to shop for solar
Select A Solar is a UK-wide quote-comparison marketplace. We are not a solar installer — our mission is to make comparing solar quotes simple, transparent and pressure-free for homeowners, landlords, businesses and farms across the country.
What we do
We match you with vetted, MCS-certified local installers and present multiple, itemised quotes side by side. You choose the offer that best fits your roof, budget and energy goals — with no obligation to proceed.
How we're independent
Select A Solar has no affiliation with DESNZ, Ofgem, MCS or any single installation company. Every installer in our network must hold current MCS certification. We earn a referral fee only when a customer accepts a quote, and this fee is disclosed upfront — it never influences which installer's quote is shown as the best match for you.
Our editorial standards
Cost estimates, grant details and incentive information are reviewed regularly against current government and regulator guidance. Where a specific scheme such as the Smart Export Guarantee is mentioned, we link directly to the official source (gov.uk, Ofgem, MCS or the Energy Saving Trust) so you can verify it yourself. We don't quote a single fixed price or grant figure — always confirm exact costs and eligibility with your installer.
